1 Dead in San Antonio Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35 near Laredo Street

SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 13, 2025) – Wednesday morning, a man died in a horrific pedestrian crash on Interstate 35 near Laredo Street.

The crash happened just before 4:00 a.m. on Interstate 35 near Laredo Street.

The lower southbound lanes of I-35 near downtown were shut down for several hours, with traffic rerouted to the upper levels.

The closure remained in effect until around 6:00 a.m. when it was lifted.

According to a preliminary SAPD report, the San Antonio Fire Department pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will handle his identification.

Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
