29-Year-Old Man Killed in Brutal ATV Crash on Highway HH

1 Dead in Laclede County Auto Accident on Highway HH and Royal Drive

LACLEDE COUNTY, MO (July 13, 2026) – Early Sunday morning, a 29-year-old man died in a brutal ATV crash on Highway HH and Royal Drive.

The incident happened at about 2:20 a.m. on Highway HH and Royal Drive in Laclede County,

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 29-year-old Lebanon man was killed after two all-terrain vehicles struck a cow on Royal Drive.

Troopers said a Honda TRX ATV, driven by a 28-year-old Lebanon man, was traveling north when it hit a cow in the roadway, ejecting both the driver and his passenger.

A second ATV, driven by a 28-year-old Lebanon woman, then struck the same cow. Both she and her 30-year-old passenger were also thrown from the vehicle.

The 29-year-old passenger from the first ATV was airlifted to Mercy Hospital Springfield, where he later died. The driver of the Honda TRX sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Lebanon Hospital.

The occupants of the second ATV suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

Troopers said none of the four riders were wearing safety equipment. The Laclede County Sheriff’s Office and the Lebanon Fire Department also responded to the scene.
