GILBERT, AZ (August 20, 2025) – Sunday night, a man died in a brutal multi-vehicle crash on Loop 202 near Lindsay Road.

The incident happened at about 11:10 p.m. on the westbound lanes of Loop 202 between Lindsay Road and Gilbert Road.

Authorities said a man driving east on Loop 202 was involved in a rollover crash. After exiting his vehicle, he entered the westbound lanes, where a white van struck him. Several other vehicles also hit the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation. Lanes between Lindsay and Gilbert roads were reopened Monday morning after the investigation.
