SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (August 20, 2025) – Monday night, a man died in a brutal pedestrian crash on 74th Street and Figueroa Street.

The incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened at 9:57 p.m. on 74th Street and Figueroa Street, west of the Harbor 110 Freeway.

Police said a vehicle hit a man outside a crosswalk and left the scene without helping. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the man dead.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
