HOUSTON, TX (June 18, 2026) — A man died in a crash on Antoine Drive on Thursday morning after an alleged car thief stole his vehicle and struck him while fleeing in northwest Houston, according to police.

The incident happened around 7:45 a.m. near Antoine Drive and Holly View Drive.

Investigators said the victim was working on his vehicle when an unknown suspect jumped inside and drove away. As the suspect fled, police said the vehicle struck and killed the owner.

Authorities later found the stolen vehicle abandoned about a block away on Sheraton Oaks Drive.

Police have not released a description of the suspect.
