1 Dead in Montgomery County Traffic Crash on Route E and Route DD

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MO (December 15, 2025) – Friday morning, an Elsberry man died in a horrific auto accident on Route E and Route DD.

The incident happened at 10:45 a.m. on Route E and Route DD.

The crash involved a 2015 Chevrolet 1500 and a 1998 Western Star Conventional semi-truck. According to the crash report, a 76-year-old man from Elsberry pulled the Chevrolet into the path of the semi.

The semi-truck, driven by a 77-year-old man from Silex, struck the Chevrolet on the driver’s side. The Elsberry man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the semi driver suffered minor injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
