Man on Electric Scooter Injured in Clovis Avenue Accident [Clovis, CA]

Clovis, CA (December 8, 2025) – A 20-year-old man on an electric scooter was injured in a Clovis Avenue accident past Saturday noon.

It was around 12:30 p.m. when the collision happened on Santa Ana Avenue.

Troopers said the 20-year-old man was not wearing a helmet when he tried to cross Clovis Avenue. 

The driver of a sedan on the opposite direction saw the man in the crosswalk and stopped for him. However, a pickup behind the sedan didn’t slow down and rear-ended it.

The sedan was then pushed onto the scooter.

As a result, the scooter’s rider incurred major injuries and was rushed to a local hospital.

The drivers of the sedan and the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Officers do not suspect alcohol nor drugs as factors in this traffic accident.
