GLENDALE, AZ (September 3, 2019) – A man sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident near 55th Avenue on September 1.
 
Sgt. John Roth, with Glendale police, revealed that a car hit the man near 5th Avenue and Thunderbird Road just after 1:30 a.m.
 
Responders transported the man to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
Roth added that the vehicle driver involved stayed at the scene.
 
The crash restricted Thunderbird Road between 51st Avenue and 59th Avenue for the next several hours during the investigation.
