EL PASO, TX (August 21, 2025) – On Tuesday, authorities arrested Manuel Esquivel Alvarez after a crippling DUI crash near Cabo Joe’s.

The incident involved a blue 2020 Honda Civic and a pink 2019 Can-Am Ryker Rally three-wheel motorcycle.

According to reports, a Lieutenant with the El Paso Fire Department, identified as 44-year-old Alvarez, rear-ended the three-wheel motorcycle.

Moreover, responders rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital with several broken ribs and a fractured pelvis.

Furthermore, authorities said that Alvarez smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot and glossy eyes, and was having difficulty standing still. Then, paramedics transported Alvarez, who complained of chest pain and anxiety.

Meanwhile, officers arrested Alvarez for DUI.
