Driver Marcos Ramirez-Ramirez Arrested in SE 10th Deadly Crash [Amarillo, TX]

Amarillo, TX (December 7, 2025) – 35-year-old Marcos Ramirez-Ramirez was arrested following SE 10th deadly crash late Thursday night.

The deadly vehicle crash happened around 11:08 p.m. involving a Ford F150 pickup and a Chevrolet Lumina..

Responding officers said a Ford driven by Marcos Ramirez-Ramirez was traveling east in the westbound lanes while the Chevrolet was driving west on the same lane of SE 10th. 

The two vehicles collided head-on as a result.

The four people riding the Chevrolet were rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, one of the passengers was killed.

Marcos Ramirez-Ramirez ran away from the scene but was later found in the alley of SE 10th.

Ramirez was released from the hospital and the officers booked him into the Potter County jail on charges on intoxication manslaughter, accident causing bodily injury/death, and three counts of intoxication assault serious bodily injury.

His bond was set to $2 million.
