Marcus Gentry Dies in Horrific Crash on Dixie Boulevard [Odessa, TX]

Odessa, TX (August 25, 2025) — A late-night collision in Odessa left 44-year-old Marcus Gentry of Stephenville dead and another injured on Saturday.

The Odessa Police Department reported that the crash happened around 10:25 p.m. at Dixie Boulevard and Pool Road.

Investigators said Gentry was driving a red Dodge 3500 westbound on Pool Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign. A gray Jeep traveling northbound on Dixie Boulevard struck the Dodge, causing it to roll over.

Gentry was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Dodge sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
