Celina Police Arrest Driver in Fatal Hit-and-Run That Killed Motorcyclist

Celina, TX (February 5, 2026) — Police arrested 68-year-old Mario Aguilar of Celina, after a hit-and-run crash Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

Police say that the collision happened around 2 p.m. in the 15500 block of FM 428 near Creekview Meadows Avenue.

Officers arrived to find the motorcyclist unconscious and unresponsive. Paramedics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

Investigators determined that the driver of a black Dodge 3500 dually struck the motorcycle and fled without stopping to provide help. Police later located and arrested Aguilar.

Authorities charged Aguilar with criminally negligent homicide and failure to stop and render aid. The investigation remains ongoing.
