Mariza Guerrero Hurt in Deadly Head-On Crash on Highway 302 [Loving County, TX]

Loving County, TX (August 16, 2025) – Mariza Guerrero was injured in a head-on crash along State Highway 302 that claimed the life of Lubbock resident Joshua Ramirez on Thursday night.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported the collision happened at 10:20 p.m. near mile marker 203.

Investigators said 39-year-old Ramirez was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when he veered into the westbound lane and crashed head-on into a 2019 International truck with a trailer driven by 41-year-old Guerrero of El Centro, CA.

Ramirez died at the scene. Guerrero sustained minor injuries and was transported to Winkler County Memorial Hospital. Authorities noted Ramirez was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
