Martha Patricia Picazo Dies in S Grand St Solo-Vehicle Crash [Amarillo, TX]

Amarillo, TX (July 6, 2026) – Martha Patricia Picazo, 34, of Amarillo, and Luiz Daniel Lopez, 31, of Wildorado, lost their lives following a S Grand St solo-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

It was before 2 a.m. on July 5, when the southbound 2018 Audi Q3 occupied by Picazo and Lopez traveled off the roadway, struck a utility pole, and caught fire.

Police rushed to the crash scene and declared Martha Patricia Picazo and Luiz Daniel Lopez, deceased.

Officers are still investigating and are unable to determine if Picazo and Lopez were wearing seatbelts during the crash.
