Martin Sanchez Arrested in Fatal Bicycle Crash on Greenway Road [Phoenix, AZ]

Phoenix, AZ (June 10, 2025) — A bicyclist lost their life following a hit-and-run crash on Greenway Road on Tuesday morning that led to the arrest of 47-year-old Martin Sanchez.

Police responded just before 6 a.m. to the area of Greenway and Cave Creek roads after receiving reports of a crash involving a person riding a bicycle. Officers found the injured cyclist at the scene.

Phoenix Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where the bicyclist later died from their injuries.

Investigators said the driver involved, Martin De Jesus Trinidad Sanchez, left the scene after the collision. Authorities later located and arrested him. The crash remains under investigation.
