Cleburne, TX (August 27, 2025) — A 92-year-old woman, identified as Mattie Wickham of Cleburne, died Monday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle on Phillips Street.

Police said the crash happened just before 3 p.m. when a driver backed out of a garage and struck Wickham as she walked behind the vehicle. She was rushed to a hospital but later died from her injuries.

The Cleburne Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
