Michael Barcellos Involved in Deadly Crash on Marshall Road [Stanislaus County, CA]

Stanislaus County, CA (September 25, 2026) — On Wednesday morning, a tragic crash on Marshall Road left a 71-year-old man dead after a pickup truck, driven by Michael Barcellos, struck the John Deere Gator he was driving.

The California Highway Patrol reported the crash east of Alfalfa Road near Patterson in Stanislaus County at about 7:10 a.m. The pickup, driven by 48-year-old Michael Barcellos of Patterson, was traveling eastbound behind the Gator when it struck the rear of the utility vehicle. The impact ejected the Gator driver, who suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Barcellos remained at the location and did not suffer injuries. Investigators said alcohol and drugs did not appear to contribute to the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
