Costa Mesa Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Semi on I-15 in Hesperia

Hesperia, CA (June 21, 2025) — 36-year-old Michael Farace of Costa Mesa died after his vehicle collided with the rear of a semi-truck on northbound Interstate 15 near Ranchero Road in Hesperia early Saturday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 4:25 a.m. Farace was driving a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta northbound when it struck the back of a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the collision.

Farace suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
