Michael Hightower Charged for Fatal Collision [Baytown, TX]

Baytown, TX – An off-duty officer, Michael Hightower, and several juveniles were injured in a W Baker Road collision in October,

It was around 7 p.m. when the collision happened in Baytown.

The accident report stated that an on-duty officer in a marked patrol vehicle and juveniles in a van were involved in the collision.

Immediately, the officer and two children from the van were airlifted hospitals via LifeFlight. 

Other juveniles were also rushed to hospitals via ambulance while the van’s driver was treated at the scene.

The juveniles in the collision were later reported to have died.

The authorities later arrested BPD officer Michael Hightower, for manslaughter and aggravated assault.
