Michael James Massa Dead in 3-Vehicle Crash on N Valley Drive [Las Cruces, NM]

Las Cruces, NM (February 4, 2025) – Michael James Massa, 54, of California, was killed in a 3-vehicle crash on N Valley Drive Sunday evening.

The fatal multi-vehicle crash happened past 9 p.m. on the 900 block area of North Valley Drive.

Police said a Nissan Armada driven by Michael Massa was speeding north when it rear-ended a Chevrolet Malibu.

As a result, the Malibu entered the southbound lanes and sideswiped a Ford Mustang. 

The Armada drove off the roadway and struck a building. Massa was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, Las Cruces Police said the Malibu driver and two Mustang occupants were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators closed a portion of Valley Drive while they investigated.
