2 Killed in Compton Traffic Accident on North Wilmington Avenue and West Stockwell Street

 
COMPTON, CA (June 14, 2022) – Sunday night, Michellie Gonzalez and Jennyfer Flores died in a crash on North Wilmington Avenue.
 
According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Koerner, the incident happened at around 11:42 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of North Wilmington Avenue and West Stockwell Street.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound Nissan Rogue struck an eastbound red Honda Civic as it drifted around the intersection. Then, the force of the crash ejected a female occupant of the Honda who was hanging out of the window at the time of the crash.
 
Moreover, responders confirmed that the two female occupants of the sedan, 20-year-old Michellie Gonzalez from Cudahy and 18-year-old Jennyfer Flores of Long Beach, died in the incident.
 
Furthermore, the SUV driver, Treyshawn Cooley, said that he had no idea that there was a street takeover at the intersection.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
