Miguel Britt Killed in I-82 Tragic Collision

21-Year-Old Kennewick Woman Injured in Fatal Crash on I-82 Near Grandview

Grandview, WA (May 26, 2025) — A 21-year-old woman from Kennewick was hurt, and 23-year-old Miguel Britt of Union Gap lost his life following a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Interstate 82 near Grandview.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Britt was driving westbound on I-82 shortly before 1:30 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway within the Grandview city limits.

Emergency crews transported Britt and his passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Kennewick, to a hospital in Richland. Britt later died from his injuries. Officials have not released an update on the passenger’s condition.

Investigators believe speed may have contributed to the crash. Troopers are still working to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role. Both occupants were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
