Miguel Contreras Injured in Violent Crash on Highway 281 [Quincy, WA]

Quincy, WA (August 28, 2025) Early Thursday morning, 34-year-old Miguel Contreras S. of Quincy was hurt after a crash on Highway 281.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the frightening collision happened at around 4 a.m. when a 2013 GMC Sierra rear-ended a southbound tractor that lacked rear lights. The impact pushed both vehicles into a ditch.

Reports say that the tractor driver, identified as Miguel A. Contreras S. was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment. The pickup driver, 45-year-old Isael Z. Solano, also from Quincy, was not hurt.

Authorities confirmed that both vehicles sustained reportable damage. Troopers stated that charges against Contreras are pending for operating a vehicle without proper lighting.
