Milagros Ayala and Elier Padilla Dead in Crash on FM 2221

2 People Killed in Palmview Auto Accident on FM 2221 near Abram Road

PALMVIEW, TX (June 25, 2024) – Monday afternoon, Milagros Ayala and Elier Padilla died in a tragic wrong-way crash on FM 2221 near Abram Road.

The incident happened around 3:00 p.m. on FM 2221, east of Abram Road.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a black Chevrolet Cruze traveling the wrong way, collided with an eastbound white pickup truck.

Moreover, authorities pronounced the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 22-year-old Ayala, and her son 2-year-old son, Padilla, dead at the scene. Also, responders rushed the driver of the pickup to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the DPS continued to investigate the crash.
