19-Year-Old King Anthony Henry Arrested After Deadly North Austin Crash

Austin, TX (September 16, 2026) — Police arrested King Anthony Henry after a single-vehicle crash killed Miles Longbine Saturday night in North Austin.

The Austin Police Department said Henry faces a charge of Driving Under the Influence – Minor following the September 12 crash at Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District Park on Ardath Street.

Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. after the vehicle crashed. Passenger Longbine, also 19, was taken to a hospital by friends but died from his injuries at approximately 10:32 p.m.

Investigators said Henry had consumed alcohol before the crash. The collision marks Austin’s 59th deadly crash of 2026. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said additional information could change.
