TRINIDAD, CA (March 25, 2025) – Sunday afternoon, a crippling traffic crash on Highway 101 near Patrick’s Point Drive led to minor injuries.

The incident involving a red truck and an unidentified second vehicle happened at around 3:01 p.m. on Highway 101 near Patrick’s Point Drive.

Emergency responders were initially dispatched at a lower priority but upgraded to an 1141 emergency once reports confirmed airbag deployment and that occupants remained inside the vehicle. Scanner traffic indicated that extrication may have been required, and multiple CHP units arrived within minutes.

Shortly after emergency crews reached the scene, all additional incoming units were canceled, suggesting those on-site could manage the situation.

CHP logs noted that a Toyota Tacoma, which had rolled over, was found 30 feet off the roadway on an embankment, requiring a tow truck. Traffic in both directions experienced slowdowns, with the #2 lane in both northbound and southbound lanes blocked. The second vehicle involved was later identified as a Honda Ridgeline.
