1 Person Trapped After Head-On Crash on H Road in Grand Junction

Grand Junction, CO (January 23, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash on H Road on Friday evening, according to local authorities.

The collision occurred around 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of H Road and 21 1/2 Road. 

Colorado State Patrol and the Grand Junction Police Department arrived on the scene shortly after the crash was reported.

Officials stated that one occupant became trapped inside a vehicle following the impact. 

While injuries were described as minor, emergency responders worked quickly to assist those involved and manage the scene.

GJPD officers assisted with traffic control in the area while responders cleared the roadway and conducted their investigation. 

The cause of the crash has not yet been released.
