Local Café Manager Killed in Suspected DUI Crash Near Yokuts Valley

Fresno County, CA (March 13, 2026) — A suspected DUI crash near Yokuts Valley on Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of Misty Lynn, who was on her way to work.

Authorities said Lynn was driving a Kia on Highway 180 near Dunlap Road when a Tesla traveling in the opposite direction crossed the center line and struck her vehicle nearly head-on. The violent impact pushed Lynn’s car off the roadway and down an embankment, sending it about 30 feet down the mountainside. She died at the scene.

Lynn worked as the general manager of Bella Brooke Cafe inside Gena’s Sierra Inn and was known in the community for her dedication and warm personality.

The Tesla driver, along with his front passenger and two children under the age of five, were taken to a hospital following the crash. Officers later arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence, reportedly involving drugs.

Friends and coworkers are planning a community memorial for Lynn on Sunday evening at Bella Brooke Cafe during a live music event. The café will also introduce a Red Bull-based drink she created, with proceeds benefiting her family.
