Driver Dead in Winkler County 2-Vehicle Crash
Winkler County, TX (December 25, 2025) – Mohamed Ahmed El Tewati, 48, of Midland, was injured in a Highway 302 deadly crash Tuesday morning.
It was past 7 a.m. on the eastbound when a 2023 Ford F-550 driven by El Tewati was eastbound on the freeway toward an intersection.
At the same time, a 2026 Ford F-250 driven by Rafael Diaz Hernandez, 38, was traveling at an unsafe speed for the weather conditions. The accident report stated that Hernandez failed to stop at a stop sign and struck El Tewati’s vehicle.
Responding officers declared Hernandez deceased at the scene. El Tewati, on the other hand, was rushed to Winkler County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
The authorities are investigating this traffic collision.
