Tesla Driver Momina Khan Dead in I-5 Multi-Vehicle Crash

Passenger Transported in Interstate 5 3-Vehicle Collision

Ferndale, WA (January 21, 2026) – 22-year-old Momina Khan, of Blaine, sustained fatal injuries following an I-5 multi-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon.

It was before 4 p.m. when the collision happened on the southbound lanes of the highway.

Troopers said a northbound Chevy Silverado, driven by 27-year-old man, crossed the median into the southbound lanes, struck a white Tesla that was driven by Khan.

The Tesla landed on the shoulder, while a Hyundai Tucson struck the Silverado.

Sadly, the authorities declared Momina Khan deceased at the scene. The rescuers rushed her 22-year-old passenger to a hospital.

The driver of the Silverado driver was also hospitalized.

Meanwhile, the occupants of the Hyundai, a man, a woman, and a boy , were not hurt in the collision.

Troopers are investigating and stated that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the fatal crash.
