13-Year-Old Boy Airlifted After Crash on Highway 67 Near Farmington
Jefferson County, MO (October 8, 2025) – A 13-year-old boy suffered serious injuries Wednesday evening after a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT vehicle crash on Highway 67 near Farmington, according to local authorities.
The sheriff’s office reported that its armored SWAT transport vehicle was returning from a training exercise when it collided with a passenger vehicle carrying a woman and her son.
The crash left both occupants of the civilian vehicle injured.
The 13-year-old boy sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for emergency care.
His mother, the driver of the vehicle, also sustained injuries, though the extent of her condition has not yet been disclosed.
None of the deputies riding in the SWAT vehicle were hurt in the incident.
In a statement released Wednesday evening, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office expressed sympathy, saying, “Our prayers are with that young person and their family tonight.”
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash.
