Cass County, MO (November 19, 2025) — Two Lee’s Summit residents were seriously injured Saturday afternoon after a motorcycle accident on Route E.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the frightening incident happened when their motorcycle ran off Route E near Struzick Road in Cass County and overturned.

Reports say that the 54-year-old man and woman were traveling south on the motorcycle when it veered off the roadway and crashed. Emergency crews flew the woman to a hospital by air ambulance, while the man was taken by ground ambulance to Research Medical Center.
