Tragic Motorcycle Crash on 152nd Street East Claims a Life [Puyallup, WA]

Puyallup, WA (May 26, 2025) – A tragic motorcycle crash on 152nd Street East left 1 dead and another injured Sunday afternoon.

According to authorities, the deadly collision happened around 5:30 p.m. on 152nd Street East.

Reports say that a suspected DUI driver caused a head-on crash that killed a motorcyclist and injured another.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, a 42-year-old woman drove east on 152nd Street East when she crossed into the westbound lane.

Her vehicle struck a motorcycle head-on, killing a 52-year-old man instantly, and grazed another motorcycle ridden by his wife, who was not injured.

The suspect continued driving for about 100 yards, hitting street signs and a fire hydrant near Pope Elementary School before stopping. Authorities confirmed the driver was impaired and expect to charge her with vehicular homicide.

A second motorcyclist was thrown from their bike and suffered unknown injuries. The motorcycle caught fire but was quickly extinguished by a bystander with a fire extinguisher.
