Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Collision with SUV Near Kansas City’s Crossroads

Kansas City, MO (July 21, 2026) — A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries Saturday night after a frightening crash on 19th Street near the Crossroads and West Side neighborhoods in Kansas City.

According to the Kansas City Police Department, the crash happened around 9:50 p.m. at the intersection of 19th Street and Broadway Boulevard. Investigators said a Toyota SUV was traveling west on 19th Street after leaving a stop sign when it collided with a Harley-Davidson electric motorcycle heading north on Broadway Boulevard.

The impact threw the motorcyclist from the bike, leaving the rider with critical injuries. Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital for treatment.

The two occupants of the SUV were not injured. Police believe the SUV driver may have been impaired, and the investigation remains ongoing.
