Injuries Reported in Homeland Motorcycle Accident on 31500 McWade Avenue near Ritter Avenue

HOMELAND, CA (July 29, 2026) – Monday afternoon, a person sustained injuries in a crippling motorcycle crash on 31500 McWade Avenue near Ritter Avenue.

The crash involving a motorcycle and a minivan happened at 4:22 p.m. in the 31500 block of McWade Avenue near Ritter Avenue, about a quarter mile south of Highway 74, according to the California Highway Patrol.

According to reports from the scene, a motorcycle and a Dodge van collided, throwing the motorcyclist into the middle of the roadway.

The van driver was not injured, remained at the scene, and was not identified.

Paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived within minutes and found the motorcyclist in cardiac arrest. Fire personnel began resuscitation efforts and were able to revive the rider before further medical treatment. The rider’s identity has not been released.

The motorcyclist was transported to Riverside University Medical Center in critical condition.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers recovered a handgun from the roadway that apparently belonged to the victim and took it into custody as evidence.

The driver of the Dodge van was detained for questioning while investigators continued to examine the circumstances of the crash.
