DAVIESS COUNTY, MO (March 12, 2026) – Tuesday morning, a 38-year-old Liberty man sustained injuries in a crippling motorcycle crash on Interstate 35 northbound.

The incident happened on Interstate 35 northbound at the 81-mile marker ramp to truck parking.

Authorities said a 38-year-old man riding a motorcycle suffered serious injuries after the bike went into a ditch while exiting northbound I-35 at the 81-mile marker ramp leading to truck parking.

According to an arrest report, a person matching the rider’s description was later taken into custody by the Highway Patrol on suspicion of eluding officers. Troopers sought charges including no valid driver’s license, no license plates or title, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Officials said the man was released to Liberty Hospital.
