Motorcycle Crash on North Avenue Claims a Life [Fresno County, CA]

Fresno County, CA (September 10, 2026) — A motorcyclist died after a shocking crash on North Avenue, where the motorcycle crashed into a cart being pulled by a bicyclist traveling the wrong way on a Fresno County road Monday night.

The California Highway Patrol responded around 8:55 p.m. to North Avenue, west of Minnewawa Avenue. Investigators determined that a bicyclist was traveling east in the westbound lane while pulling a cart in dark conditions.

A person riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson westbound then collided with the cart. The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn and seriously injured the rider.

Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to a hospital, where the rider later died from the injuries. The bicyclist was not struck and did not suffer injuries.

The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
