COLUMBIA, MO (September 14, 2026) – Friday night, a man and a woman sustained serious injuries in a startling motorcycle crash on Route U and County Road 251.
The incident happened at about 4:40 p.m. on Route U, just east of County Road 251.
Two people were injured after a motorcycle struck two deer that ran into the roadway in Missouri, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to an MSHP crash report, a 43-year-old Madison man was riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson Road King Special when he hit the deer, causing the motorcycle to overturn. The man and his passenger, a 37-year-old Moberly woman, were thrown from the motorcycle.
Both were taken to University Hospital for treatment.
