Police Investigate Fatal Rear-End Crash on Frazier Mountain Park Road in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 14, 2026)— A motorcyclist died Monday morning after a rear-end crash on Frazier Mountain Park Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said the crash happened shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Frazier Mountain Park Road, east of Mt. Pinos Way.
According to officers, the motorcyclist was traveling westbound when a man driving a Chevrolet SUV struck the motorcycle from behind.
The impact ejected the motorcyclist in an easterly direction and caused him to collide with the front windshield area of the SUV.
Emergency responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
CHP said impairment was not a factor for the SUV driver.
Authorities have not yet determined whether impairment played a role in the motorcyclist’s accident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
