Police Search Driver After Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 168 in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (May 14, 2026)— A motorcyclist suffered injuries Thursday morning after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 168 near McKinley Avenue in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers received reports of a crash involving a motorcycle around 6:46 a.m.
When CHP officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist lying in the middle of the freeway. Authorities said the rider was responsive but could not remember where he was.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of a concussion and road rash.
The crash blocked lanes on westbound Highway 168 as officers responded to the scene and investigated the collision.
Witnesses told investigators that the vehicle that struck the motorcyclist may have been a BMW or Toyota sedan.
Authorities have not released additional information about the fleeing driver or vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the hit-and-run crash.
