Rider Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run Crash on Interstate 35 in San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (September 25, 2025) – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries Saturday night in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 35 North in San Antonio, police said.

San Antonio Police officers responded around 11:50 p.m. to the 1300 block of I-35 North. Investigators said a 2025 Kawasaki EX650 was traveling northbound and lane-splitting to avoid traffic caused by another crash.

As the rider moved between vehicles, an unidentified black car struck the motorcycle, causing the rider to lose control. The motorcyclist was ejected and collided with the rear of a black 2020 Chevrolet Malibu, according to SAPD.

Emergency responders transported the rider to a local hospital with serious injuries. Authorities reported the victim was last listed in stable condition.

Police said the driver of the unidentified black car fled the scene without stopping to render aid. That driver faces potential charges for collision involving serious bodily injury.

The crash remains under investigation.
