Motorcyclist Injured in El Cajon Boulevard Collision [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (July 5, 2025) – A motorcycle rider was injured in an El Cajon Boulevard collision Thursday afternoon.

The collision was reported around 2:40 p.m. in the 4800 block of El Cajon Boulevard, near Estrella Avenue.

Troopers said a 32-year-old man was eastbound in a black 2013 Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle in the left lane of El Cajon Boulevard. 

At the same time, a 76-year-old woman was stopped in a white 2013 Hyundai Sonata at a stop sign on northbound Estrella Avenue.

Troopers said the woman waited in traffic before pulling onto eastbound right lane, and did not see the motorcycle as she drove into the intersection. 

As a result, the Hyundai broadside crashed the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist sustained a pelvic fracture and head injuries. He was rushed to an area hospital.

The female driver, on the other hand, was not injured in the collision.

Meanwhile, investigators said alcohol did not play a role in the crash.

The SDPD Traffic Division is investigating the collision. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
