Police Investigate Motorcycle Crash on 24th Street in Yuma

Yuma, AZ (January 24, 2026) – A serious crash on 24th Street on Wednesday night left a 49-year-old motorcyclist hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, according to the Yuma Police Department.

The incident occurred around 8:21 p.m. on January 21, near the intersection of 24th Street and Parkview Loop. 

Police say the motorcyclist was heading eastbound on 24th Street when he collided with a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 19-year-old woman who was turning left onto Parkview Loop.

Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to Onvida Health and later airlifted him to a hospital in Phoenix due to the severity of his injuries. 

The woman was treated at Onvida Health and subsequently released.

Police have stated that impairment does not appear to be a factor. The collision remains under active investigation.
