Police Investigate Crash on Highway D in Wappapello

WAPPAPELLO, MO (December 7, 2025) — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway D on Saturday evening, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m. on December 6 along Highway D. 

Authorities reported that an unknown vehicle traveling north struck the rear of a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle, causing the rider to lose control. 

The motorcycle then veered off the road and crashed.

The motorcyclist, a 48-year-old Wappapello resident, was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. 

No additional details about the unidentified vehicle or its driver were available, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Law enforcement is urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
