Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash on South Broadway [St. Louis, MO]

Man Hospitalized After Crash on South Broadway in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (May 1, 2026)— A 50-year-old motorcyclist suffered critical injuries Friday morning after a crash on South Broadway Street in St. Louis.

Police said the crash was reported just after 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of South Broadway and East Davis Street.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on South Broadway as a GMC Canyon traveled southbound. Both vehicles approached the intersection at East Davis Street.

Investigators said the GMC Canyon attempted to turn left onto East Davis Street. The motorcycle then struck the right side of the GMC.

Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist, a 50-year-old man, to the hospital. Police said he was not wearing a helmet and remains in critical, unstable condition.

The driver of the GMC was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.

Police closed South Broadway while accident reconstruction investigators examined the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
