Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Senter Road in San Jose

San Jose, CA (May 29, 2025) – A motorcycle rider lost his life Thursday morning after a crash on Senter Road.

Authorities reported the crash at 6:47 a.m. near Sylvandale Avenue. Based on their preliminary investigation, a man driving a black 2015 Chevy Camaro was heading east on Buckeye Drive and crossing Senter Road to continue onto Sylvandale. 

At that moment, a man riding a silver 2004 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, traveling north on Senter Road, struck the side of the Camaro.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on-site. 

Officials have not yet released his identity, pending confirmation and notification of his next of kin by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.

Police stated that the driver of the Camaro remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. 

Authorities did not indicate that he received a citation or was taken into custody.

The investigation that followed led to an extended closure of both directions of Senter Road between Sylvandale and Hellyer Avenues, as well as the eastbound lanes of Sylvandale Avenue between Senter Road and Verdi Lane.
