Drunk Driver Arrested After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Marble Falls; Child Injured
Marble Falls, TX (November 21, 2025) — A suspected drunk driver caused a collision on Highway 281 in Marble Falls, injuring a 3-year-old girl and damaging several vehicles.
According to police, the shocking incident happened at around 1:09 p.m., and first responders arrived at a hit-and-run near La Ventana Drive and South US Highway 281. Officers soon located the driver of a 2016 Ram 2500, who had already collided with a Jeep SUV driven by 19-year-old Celeste Prado at Max Starcke Dam Road and Highway 281.
Police say the driver fled into a nearby neighborhood, striking a stop sign before crashing into a light pole and traffic sign. The Ram then hit a Dodge Journey driven by 30-year-old Brittany Ashlock of Burnet, who had her 3-year-old daughter in the vehicle. A Lexus driven by 75-year-old Dan Smalley then struck the Ram, and the suspect tried to flee again—crashing into a Ford F-250 driven by 62-year-old Veronica Leenen.
The Ram’s driver and the 3-year-old girl were both airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center and are in stable condition. The driver now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including aggravated assault and DWI.
