Violent Multi-Car Crash on Highway 532 Kills Blair Hochstrasser [Everett, WA]

Everett, WA (April 22, 2025) – 66-year-old Blair Hochstrasser of Lynnwood was killed Friday evening after a horrific multi-car crash on Highway 532.

According to authorities, the frightening 4-vehicle collision happened at about 4:14 p.m. near Sunday Lake on Highway 532.

Reports say that a 66-year-old Lynnwood man died in a four-vehicle crash.

Authorities say that a white Mitsubishi Mirage traveling east abruptly stopped for traffic near 28th Northwest.

Meanwhile, a white commercial truck behind it moved into the turn lane, but the Mirage turned in front of the truck.

The impact pushed the Mirage into westbound lanes, where it struck two motorcycles.

One of the motorcyclists, identified as Hochstrasser, was pronounced dead en route to the hospital. A 54-year-old woman riding with him sustained injuries and was transported to Providence Medical Center Everett.

In total, five people were hospitalized. Authorities closed the highway for several hours during the investigation. Troopers arrested one driver for investigation of vehicular homicide and assault. A second crash occurred due to the traffic backup, leading to another arrest for DUI.
