Let’s Avoid Traffic Accidents
Avoiding auto accidents involves paying attention and practicing safe driving methods. And as always, you should follow the speed and traffic laws, and don’t text (or use your phone in any way) behind the wheel.
Keep a safe trailing distance to be able to stop, if necessary.
Do not drink and drive, and never get behind the wheel if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if you are tired.
Watch your mirrors and use your turn signals, and check your blind spots, before changing lanes or making a turn. Drive calmly and patiently, especially in heavy traffic or bad weather.
When you drive responsibly and remain alert, you help prevent accidents and keep everyone on the road safe.
After a crash, remain at the scene and call for help. Leaving can delay medical care and put others at risk. Drive attentively, especially during overnight and holiday hours when visibility and reaction times may be reduced.
