Fatal Four-Vehicle Crash in Hawthorne Leaves One Dead, Several Hurt

Hawthorne, CA (May 19, 2025) — A four-vehicle crash on Imperial Highway in Hawthorne on Sunday left one person dead and several others seriously injured.

The collision happened around 11:48 a.m. at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Inglewood Avenue, according to the Hawthorne Police Department.

Officers arriving at the scene found four heavily damaged vehicles and multiple injured victims. Rescue crews had to extricate two occupants trapped inside one of the cars.

Authorities said four people were transported to local hospitals. One victim later died after arriving at the hospital, while two others remained in extremely critical condition.

Officials have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim. Investigators also continue working to determine what caused the crash.
